Interview with Ms. Sarah Chayes

Ms. Sarah Chayes, author of The Punishment of Virtue: Inside Afghanistan After the Taliban, was interveiwed by the American Forces Network in Okinawa, Japan. Through MCUF funding, Ms. Chayes spoke to the 3rd Marine Division on her experiences in Afghanistan. There is an article about this PME event in the Fall 2008 Foundation News. Command Support Program

Marine at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall

In 1996, the Marine Corps University Foundation formally expanded funding beyond the University at Quantico and began supporting the Operating Forces and Supporting Establishment with the Command Support Program. Solely through the generosity of private donors MCUF provides available funding annually to Marines worldwide. The PME Program provides funding for battlefield studies, staff rides, visiting scholars and other professional military events.
