The Enlisted Professional Military Education branch is a recent addition to the Marine Corps University. EPME oversees the six Staff Noncommissioned Officer Academies (SNCOA) located around the world: Marine Corps Base Quantico, Virginia; Camp Pendleton, California ; Camp Lejeune, North Carolina; Marine Corps Base Camp Butler, Okinawa; Marine Corps Air Station, Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii and Marine Corps Air Ground Task Force Training Center, Twentynine Palms, California. EPME’s mission is to provide progressive educational opportunity to improve leadership, critical thinking capability and sound tactical skills for enlisted Marines throughout their careers.
All SNCO academies offer multiple Corporals and Sergeants Courses each year. The SNCO academies at Quantico, Camp Pendleton, Camp Lejeune and Camp Butler, also provide several Career and Advanced Courses each year and an annual E-8 Seminar. These courses provide enlisted leaders current operational information, emphasizing Marine Corps’ time-honored traditions.
