As the year draws to a close, I ask that you consider making a financial gift to the only nonprofit organization dedicated to the education of active-duty Marines around the world.
The Marine Corps University Foundation supports Marine Corps University as well as the professional military education of thousands of Marines in fleet units worldwide.
Please consider contributing to the Foundation’s continued work at:
Personally, I have benefited greatly from the education provided by the Marine Corps University – first, as a student who studied at the Command and Staff College – and later, as a commander, whose Marines were better prepared to fight in Kosovo, Iraq and Afghanistan because of the tremendous professional military education provided them – and today, as a retired lieutenant general, knowing our military remains the best-prepared force in the world.
Moreover, the Foundation underwrites the continued professional military education of many thousands of Marines annually through historical studies of military campaigns and battles across the United States, Europe and Asia, providing them a firsthand understanding of battlefield decisions in order to improve their readiness for critical missions abroad.
Given the tremendous need, I wonder if I can count on your support again this year. Your investment will help us meet the requests of Marine commanders around the world for educational support and will enable us to continue to provide funds so that Marine Corps University remains a cutting-edge institution of higher education in warfighting, strategy and leadership studies. You may donate through the Foundation’s website at https://www.givedirect.org/donate/?cid=13334.
Thank you for your consideration of this request, and please keep close to your hearts at this time of year our fallen Marines and those forward deployed. May God bless this country, and may God bless the Marines. Oorah!
P.S. A photo of me from a few years’ back with Marines training. I was proud to serve alongside these Marines. Here at the Foundation, I am proud to serve them.
